I started my car buying journey while visiting my son & his fiancée in KC, MO. Goal was to purchase a new 2024 vehicle for myself & leave the 2017 SUV with my son, so they have more room for my new grandchild 😊 I went to a well-known dealership in KC; to remain nameless, the salesman was good to work w/however it’s the finance manager who dissuaded me from proceeding further in that moment. I needed to do more research & saw the same vehicle I was thinking about purchasing in KC, the Eclipse Cross, was $4K cheaper back home in R’ford. I submitted a contact form to Anderson Mitsubishi to inquire about the numbers I saw online & asked if they were real numbers or just numbers to lure customers to the dealership. I received a call from Bill Palmeri who shared “what you see advertise on our website is what you’ll get” & he was not kidding. Bill introduced his salesman, Harvey Kellar. Harvey pulled up the Eclipse Cross however the beauty that I ended up purchasing was in the background. I know this is a long review & my apologies if I offend any readers, but I do believe in the power of prayer & manifesting. I was about to “settle” for less room & a color I didn’t really want until I saw my new 2024 Outlander in the background. It was not on the website yet and was exactly what I had prayed to find. My concern was size however after my test drive, I knew & the best part, it was only $1K more. I was still given the same discounts as I was going to receive with the Eclipse Cross. To wrap up, this truly was the BEST buying experience I have ever had from inquiry, working w/Harvey to the final contract paperwork w/Gregg Decman. I will start off by saying that my experience at Rock
“ I will start off by saying that my experience at Rock River Kia started out great, there was no issues with this dealer in any way until it came time for the delivery of our vehicle. We dealt with Todd Berg, (never deal with Todd) and it was absolutely the most terrible service I’ve had. He didn’t make delivery of the vehicle as clear as he says he did, we are from out of state and he said they would drive the car to us for $1000 we thought that was great! He said it would be more for an enclosed trailer so we just chose the cheaper option assuming it was an open trailer. Well on the day of the delivery, a driver actually showed up driving the Telluride, they physically drove the car 800 miles to us, it now has rock chips and bugs splattered all over it. We have the driver wait as we call Todd Berg, once we told him the issue he was immediately defensive and started to raise his voice. He had no apologies or tried to fix the situation in any way he constantly blamed us and said it our fault. So just purely off of his attitude we decide to send the car back and not take delivery of it. Todd then calls me a scammer saying I’m trying to scam him on this sale, and calls us liars. I told him over the phone his attitude was xxxxxxxx and he said he was glad we are sending the car back because he doesn’t want our business anyways and then hung up on me. Funny thing is this guy is suppose to be a “Manager” aside from this in the very beginning, he told me I needed to sign a document agreeing to put down $1000 deposit and that it was non refundable. Which is completely fine and normal, he emailed me the document and said he will not charge my card until he gets the document back signed. After about 1-2 hours I still hadn’t had time to review the document and he proceeds to charge my card $1000 without my consent form being signed. If anyone was being scammed it was me! Last thing to note was while the driver waited on us to sort things out with Todd over the phone, the driver lays down in our front lawn like he’s going to take a nap, and when he first got out of our new Telluride he pulled out his drinks, snack wrappers and duffle bags from our car. What kind of professionalism is that? I’ve never had such a terrible interaction with a dealership let alone personally attacked and called a liar and scammer by a “Manager”. I spoke with Jason the general manager of the store and he said Todd admitted to his behavior and said he overreacted. But doesn’t sound like Todd is going to face any kind of repercussions for his actions so now I’m going to make it known. Too many people have bad experiences and don’t share them when they should. I have seen many people get bad service from a place simply because the people who had a bad experience didn’t share it. As a business owner I see this all the time, reviews are very important and help us improve. ”

“ Harvey sold me a car that had bad brakes and bad rotors (front and back). When I tried to get them fixed (because they sold me a car that with bad breaks and rotors), he said that I had the car too long (1 month and a week). When I threatened to bring the car back, Harvey said they would cover the front rotors and breaks. When I said I would help with the back rotors and breaks, he said "it doesn't work like that" so now, im basically paying $318 because they didn't want to fix this before they sold the car. They basically scammed me out of $318. When I came to him about the issue, he said he was just trying to keep us happy but at the end of the day, I had to replace what they didn't before they sold the car. I will NEVER buy a car here EVER again. The fact that these people snaked me out of my money is ridiculous. And the fact that I tried to talked to the manager "Bill" over the salesman "Harvey" multiple times and he was never there or I wasn't able to talk to him because he was in a meeting is beyond crazy. When I went to replace the breaks and rotors through them, I literally had to pay half. They were not honest when selling the vehicle and then made me pay for it. The fact that I wasn't able to deal with the manager or the people fixing my car seemed real fishy to me. If you ever buy a car from them, make sure you take it to a mechanic the same day so they don't try to screw you over. ”

I took it to Farm and Fleet and had them put in a new one while I went to dinner. Old battery had no leaks, wasn't bulging and seemed to be fine. Ended up costing me a couple hundred. ”
